Sigma brushes : First wash

I was so thrilled yesterday when i got my sigma brushes. So i gave those babies their first bath.  Did i tell you they came with strong dye or paint-like smell? Yeah, the stench.  I hate the smell so much, it makes me dizzy! I wonder now if i can even use my brushes with the smell!

So, first up to wash was the large powder F30 brush. I can tell you, it not only have the strongest smell, it had the blackest dye washed out! So i tried to wash it till the stench come out, but NO, the stench is still there! And i spent 10minutes to wash the brush alone. I even give it 2nd wash afterwards, but the smell held on very strongly! Few hairs shed, well not so much, but it did shed.

2nd up was the duo fibre F50 brush.  This brush has the 2nd strongest smell.  And black dye also came out from this one.  And it still have the smell now. It shed as well.  I also notice few hairs frayed. But no biggies.

Large angled contour F40 is white-bristled. So no dye came out from this one. Less smell too.  But it frays a lot. :(

The foundation F60 brush is synthetic bristles brush.  So no smell or dye whatsoever came out from this.  I like it a lot! No shedding.

The tapered blending E40 have black natural bristles.  So as expected, there were a little bit of dye and smell.  But not so much.  I like this brush too, it soft! But there are frays as well.  It shed a bit.

The other brushes took their bath alright.  No shedding whatsoever. Have faint smell but still OK to my nose. 

Overall, i'm pretty disappointed with the smell and black dye.  I didn't bother about the shedding and frays so much because its not so much.  But yeah, the brushes now are softer.  I'm pretty worried about the side effect of the dye and smell.  Because i got this crazy dizziness and giddiness after i washed the brushes.  I slept from 4pm yesterday till this 9am in the morning because i was too dizzy!
