Cheap Brush Guards and Ecotools 5 pc brush set!

Well, well, well... Sweet cupcakes.  I've been roaming around the online world without purposes for a while.. Then, i stumbled across, CHEAP BRUSH GUARDS!! When i said cheap, i mean it!  Look what i found and instantly bought:

It's a 15 pieces Makeup Brush Guards Protectors Fits Most #2 ($1.88 or RM5.90) and it comes in 2 sizes! It can fit medium to large brushes! It's 15 freaking pieces!

I also bought 1M Make Up Brush Guards Protectors Fits Most #1.  It is a 1 meter roll of brush guard, you can cut it at any length you like! and it's just $0.98 or RM3.10!! Super cheap!It is advisable to cut at least 10cm or more.

Comparing to the one Michelle Phan use, which is $5.50 for few brush guards. The quality, i will say pretty good! It's sturdy, flexible and reusable! For that prices, i would repurchase again!

Don't be lazy. 10 minutes is not that long.

My sweet cupcakes, have you ever go out without anything on your face and you look dull, tired and unhealthy?  I had. But that was when i fall sick, and i must go to clinic asap. Or just did some grocery shopping at the supermarket just opposite the condo i live in.  But it's just rare to see me without any make up on.  Yes, face powder is make up too!

Now i take my sweet 10 minutes to at least make myself look more healthy before i go through the door.  10 minutes is not that long, you know? Scared you'll be late? Then set your clock or watch 10 minutes faster! Then you wont be late!

What i can do for 10 minutes:

• My face is always toned and moisturized before i start. I always always put on Hada Labo lotion and moisturizer right after my shower.  It takes less than 1 minute. But that doesn't count in my 10 minutes regime. Don't forget your sunscreen too!
• Put on primer.  Primer is so essential if i want my make up lasts long! It will mattify the skin and give it smooth surface.  Thus, I can apply make up easier! This will take less than 1 minute!
• Put on foundation.  I use liquid foundation because it looks more natural and give me even coverage (when you apply it well!!).  I always use my hand instead of brushes coz it's easier and faster like that. This will take only 1 minute.
• Concealer! I have a few dark spots and blemishes.  Because i want to look flawless, i won't skip this step! Yes, i put on concealer after foundation.  It's sooo much quicker and easier! Dab the concealer and blend it with concealer brush or finger will take another 1 minute.
• Set with powder.  I usually use loose powder.  Puff it or brush all over my face. Less than 1 minute!
• Fill in my eyebrow.  Starting with the arch, filling it in with eyebrow pencil.  Then, brush it with spoolie so it will look more natural.  Another 1 minute. It's not that hard to fill in because my eyebrow already shaped. 
• Eyeliner.  Sometimes i skip this step when i don't feel like it.  I usually use L'oreal SuperLiner.  It's so easy to use and give me the blackest line! I usually just add wings at the outer corner without dragging it to the middle.  It just stay at the outer corner of my eyes.  I like it like that.  It will just add the illusion of fuller outer upper lashes.  1 minute.
• Curl my lashes and put on mascara.  This will take 2 minutes.  I don't usually go for super-long lashes, coz my lashes already long.  I just want them to be more visible and more black and defined.
• Blush. This is important coz i have pale-looking face! It take less than 1 minute. Really! 
• Put on lip balm (or maybe lipstick or lip stain and gloss). I love my strawberry Body shop lip balm! It give me reddish pink tint. Less than 1 minute.
• re-check and fix anything not right. another 1 minute or more.  

See, how easy that was, every step is 1 minute or 2 or even less than that.  Now, you don't have any excuse to skip the 10 minutes of beauty regime of your day.  I can assure you, 10 minutes won't hurt you.  What's hurt is when you feel like people are staring at your pale face like you are ill or something OR you being not confident all day and being paranoid that people are staring at your dull, ill-looking face. 

*some people are so damn lucky, they born with bright, pretty face.  I looked pale without foundation. Really! And i HATE when people stare at my bare face thinking i'm sick. Yes, I am sick. So what????

Soap & Glory Clear Here T-Zone Oil-Control Daily Moisture Lotion (Review)

I felt in love with Soap & Glory Rub Your Nose in it just a few months ago, so i decided to give the moisturizer a try. It said T-Zone Oil-Control Daily Moisture Lotion, so it really attracted me as i have oily t-zone.

-Poreshrink-3: A slow-release skin perfector with a pore-refining salicylic acid blend that helps regenerate and smooth the skin without irritation.
-Blot-A-Lot Complex: This mattifying astringent extract of mushroom helps tighten and firm pores.
-An Activating Complex with Ginseng Extract: Helps boost energy and moisture levels.

Texture: smooth gel, easily absorb to the skin.  Wait 30 seconds before applying make up.  It will dry off as matte finish. 



Smell: Like strong tea-tree oil.  Quite overwhelming for me.

Did it work?

• It works well as a mattifying base for make up. (wait 30 seconds for that)
• It controls shine, giving you non-oily feeling
• Moisturizing.  Quickly absorbs into the skin.

Verdict:  For me, it is too strong. It irritates my skin, so few red spots appear after 1 week using it. I thought it was my hormone, but after i stopped using it, the red spots disappeared magically within 2 days.  Too bad, i really like the matte finish that it gave.  Price wise, it's a bit too expensive for a daily moisturizer (it's only 1.69oz).  I'll stick with my Za true white emulsion! 

The smell is quite strong and i don't like that. I hate the bumpy red spots.  My skin felt so rough and it's a big NO! As for a make up base, it works well.  If you have non-sensitive skin, maybe it will work for you. But i won't use it ever again! So who want this free moisturizer? Feel bad to throw it just like that! LOL..
